Taph, Dusekkar & Veeronica: Which Forsaken Support Survivor Should You Buy?
Compare Taph, Dusekkar and Veeronica in Forsaken: abilities, Player Point costs, and which of the three actually fits how you play.
Taph, Dusekkar and Veeronica are the three survivors most players own and never learn — and they cover three completely different answers to the same problem. Forsaken's roster has grown well past its launch cast, and three of the additions sit in an awkward spot: expensive enough to feel like a commitment, unusual enough that nobody explains them properly. Taph stalls the killer with placed explosives. Dusekkar shields teammates with magic. Veeronica skates away from problems and heals herself with a battery. We have put them on one page rather than three because the useful question is not "how do I play Taph" — it is "which of these three fits how I already play, and is it worth 600 or 750 Player Points to find out."

Taph — The Demolitionist
Taph is a Support Survivor available for 600 Player Points, and the only character on the roster whose kit is entirely about pre-placing things. Their playstyle centres on Tripwire and Subspace Tripmine to slow the Killer down and stall for time.
How Taph actually plays
Placement, then patience. Because a round in Forsaken is decided by a four-minute clock, "stalling" is not a delaying tactic — it is the win condition. Every second the killer loses to a Tripwire is a second closer to the timer running out in your team's favour. The skill is knowing which routes the killer must use, which comes from map knowledge rather than reflexes.
The placement rules the game actually enforces
The wiki documents specific failure messages worth knowing before you waste an ability. Facing a wall gives you "Tripwire placement point is obstructed by something. Move back a bit." Standing directly over an edge gives "Tripwire placement point is too high above ground. Turn around and try again." There is also an error for obstructions between the origin and endpoint. In short: Tripwire needs clear ground and clear space between the two anchor points, and fumbling that mid-chase is how new Taph players die.
Who Taph is
A mute demolitionist known for detonating unmoderated experiences, who speaks to other Survivors using sign language. They were a vigilante inspired by the Roblox Admins — looking up to Builderman in an intensely parasocial way — and targeted unmoderated experiences after the Admins fell. Those demolitions killed sentient NPCs, which got Taph wanted by law enforcement. They barricaded themself indoors hoping it would all disappear, and were Forsaken at some unknown point after. Their trail went cold; they are still wanted. Visually: pure black skin, dark robes, the Hood of the International Order of Buildmasters, and Elder Futhark lettering on the cloak.
Dusekkar — The Retired Admin
Dusekkar is a Support Survivor for 600 Player Points whose playstyle centres on Spawn Protection and Plasma Beam — protecting fellow survivors with buffs while slowing the Killer down.
Two tools, two jobs
Spawn Protection shields teammates from potential damage; Plasma Beam assists in chases and slows the killer. That split is unusual — most support survivors do one or the other. It means Dusekkar has a genuine decision every time an ability is available: protect, or disrupt. Players who default to always doing the same one are leaving half the character unused.
Why he rewards coordination
A shield is worth the most on someone who is about to take damage, which means Dusekkar wants to see the chase before he commits. In solo queue you will frequently shield someone who then runs the wrong way. With friends on voice, his value climbs sharply. If you play alone most of the time, Veeronica is the better 600-to-750 investment.
Who Dusekkar is
A retired Roblox Admin, creative and well-versed in magical spells, based on Matt Dusek, a former Technical Director at Roblox. He was one of the first Robloxians alongside Builderman, and worked under him as an administrator — the two were close friends, which is why the pairing feels natural in play as well as in lore. The wiki notes he is wise and knows more than he lets on, keeping information to himself to protect others.
Veeronica — The Skater Robot
Veeronica is a Survivalist Survivor at 750 Player Points — the most expensive of the three and the only one in her class. Her kit is VANDALISM, Sk8 and Broadcast, used to knock back and avoid the Killer as well as heal herself.
Survivalist means self-sufficient
The wiki puts it bluntly: she is willing to sacrifice aid from others. Her abilities let her skate around the map, perform tricks to stall the Killer, speed up, and heal herself using her Battery. That combination — mobility plus self-healing — makes her the strongest solo-queue pick of the three, because none of her value depends on a teammate making a good decision.
Movement as defence
Sk8 gives her a speed tool in a game where most survivors sit at a similar walkspeed and killers move faster. Combined with VANDALISM's knockback, she can create distance twice in a chase where other survivors can create it once. The tradeoff is that none of that helps the teammate being chased across the map — she is the least altruistic character discussed here.
Who Veeronica is
Full name V33-R4-01-N33-7K, a robot from an experimental group called the Helper RO-Bots — successors to HelperBots. The project was never fully produced due to cost and disinterest, so only five prototypes were made, each for a different niche. Two have since gone defunct. Veeronica taught Robloxians various skills until the experiment was discontinued, then wandered Robloxia alone, eventually falling in with a group who introduced her to graffiti and skateboarding. She was Forsaken by The Spectre and reported missing. She still feels guilt that she vandalised instead of helping more people. She is based on the Ms. Tee Vee accessory, and because she is a robot she has a unique base model and idle animation — blockier than other survivors, shifting between two key poses rather than moving continuously.
Why there are no stat tables here
You will not find escape rates or pick rates for these three on this page, because Forsaken publishes no official stat sheet and the community has not accumulated enough consistent match data on them to produce figures we would stand behind. Guides that show precise percentages for newer roster characters are almost always extrapolating. When reliable community tracking exists, we will add it and say where it came from — the same way we do for the core cast at /blog/forsaken-survivor-speeds-stats-ranked-2026.
Common Questions
What players ask about these three.
Which is the best of the three?
Depends entirely on how you queue. Solo: Veeronica, because self-sufficiency beats coordination-dependent value when your teammates are strangers. With friends: Dusekkar, because shields land where they are needed. If you enjoy map knowledge as a skill in itself: Taph, who is the most distinctive character on the roster.
Are they worth the Player Points?
Not before you own a comfortable core survivor. At 600 to 750 they cost more than Builderman or Guest 1337 at 500, and none of them are beginner-friendly. Buy a character you can reliably survive with first, then branch out. See /blog/forsaken-player-points-guide for how to earn faster.
Is Taph male or female?
The wiki uses mixed pronouns for Taph across different sections, and the character is masked and mute by design. We use they/them here because the character's presentation is deliberately ambiguous and the official documentation is not consistent.
Do any of them counter specific killers?
Broadly: Taph's stalling is strongest against killers who rely on committed chases, Dusekkar's shields blunt high-damage killers, and Veeronica's mobility helps most against slower control killers. The full verified matchup table for the core cast is at /blog/forsaken-counter-pick-guide-best-survivor-vs-every-killer.
Final Thoughts
These three exist to answer the same question — how do you survive a killer who is faster than you — with three different philosophies. Taph reshapes the route. Dusekkar protects the person. Veeronica just leaves. Buy based on how you already like to play rather than on which looks strongest, because all three reward specialisation and punish half-commitment. And if you are still learning the game, spend your Player Points on a core survivor first.
- • Taph: Support, 600 PP, Tripwire + Subspace Tripmine — placement and stalling
- • Dusekkar: Support, 600 PP, Spawn Protection + Plasma Beam — shields and slows
- • Veeronica: Survivalist, 750 PP, VANDALISM + Sk8 + Broadcast — mobility and self-heal
- • Solo queue favours Veeronica; coordinated play favours Dusekkar
- • Tripwire fails on obstructed ground or over edges — learn the placement rules
- • No stat tables: community data on these three is not yet reliable enough to publish
