How Many Killers Are in Forsaken? The Real Count (2026)
How many killers are in Forsaken: seven core killers in normal rotation, plus collaboration and event killers. All seven named with roles and stats, and why other pages say 12 or 24.
Seven. There are seven core killers in Forsaken that you will meet in normal rotation: John Doe, 1x1x1x1, c00lkidd, Nosferatu, Noli, Slasher (Jason) and Guest 666. On top of those, collaboration and event killers come and go — which is why other pages say 12, or 24, or something else entirely. If you want to know how many killers are in Forsaken, the useful answer is seven, and the accurate answer is "seven core killers, plus a rotating set of collaboration and event killers." Both halves matter. Seven is the roster you will actually face in public matchmaking week to week, and it is the roster our stats and tier pages track. The larger numbers you see elsewhere are not wrong so much as counting something different: the Official Forsaken Wiki's Killers category currently lists 24 entries, but that total includes limited collaboration killers, event killers, and several name variants of the same character. This page gives you the seven with the wiki's playstyle labels and stats, explains exactly where the other counts come from, and covers the questions that usually follow — how many survivors there are, which killers are free, and whether the number is going up.
The Seven Core Killers (Official Forsaken Wiki Stats, 2026)
Run speed, HP, cost, difficulty and playstyle are the Official Forsaken Wiki infobox values as of September 2026. Cost is in Player Points, the currency earned in public matches.
| Killer | Playstyle (wiki) | Run speed | HP | Cost | Signature abilities |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| John Doe | Trapper / Setplay | 27.25 | 2,300 | 1,000 PP | Corrupt Energy, Digital Footprint, 404 Error |
| 1x1x1x1 | Ranged / Attrition | 27 | 102,550 (as listed) | 1,250 PP | Mass Infection, Entanglement, Unstable Eye |
| c00lkidd | Versatile | 28 | 1,000 | Free starter | Corrupt Nature, Walkspeed Override, Pizza Delivery |
| Nosferatu | Ambush / Stealth / Zoner | 27.5 | 1,750 | 1,922 PP | Blood Hook, Cataclysm, Hunter's Feast, Ascension |
| Noli | Rushdown / Deception | 27.5 | 2,222 | 1,100 PP | Void Rush, Nova, Observant |
| Slasher (Jason, "Project 13") | Ambusher / Bruteforce | 28 | 1,250 | Free starter | Raging Pace, Behead, Gashing Wound |
| Guest 666 | Burst / Snowball | 27 | 2,750 | 1,666 PP | Eviscerate, Demonic Pursuit, Hemorrhage |
Seven rows, seven killers. Two are free from the start (c00lkidd and Slasher), which is why they are the ones most players learn the role on.
Why you will see 7, 12 and 24 as the answer
Three different numbers circulate for the same question, and each comes from counting a different thing. Knowing which is which saves you from arguing with a page that is technically correct about a different roster.
Seven — the core rotation
These are the killers present in the game's normal roster and the ones the community tracks stats for. They are permanent: they do not leave when a collaboration ends and they are the killers every tier list ranks. When someone asks how many killers Forsaken has in the sense of "how many can I expect to play against," seven is the honest number.
Twenty-four — the wiki category
The Official Forsaken Wiki's Killers category lists 24 entries. That total folds in collaboration and event killers — Azure, BRIMSTONE, Cat, Doppelganger, Erlking, Gubby, Herobrine, ITrapped, MrDoomBringer, Sancho, Sixer Hunt, Sukuna, The Stalker and Zombie King among them — and it also lists Jason, Slasher and "Friday The 13th Slasher" as separate entries when they are variants of one character. A category page counts articles, not roster slots, so 24 is real but it is not the number you will meet in matchmaking.
Twelve — a number that got stuck
Several pages, including two of ours until this week, carried "All 12 Forsaken Killers" in their titles while their own bodies listed seven. Twelve appears to be a survivor count or an older mixed tally that was copied into headlines and never re-checked. It does not match the current core roster or the wiki category, and we have corrected our titles. If you see twelve elsewhere, treat it as a stale headline rather than a third roster.

How the roster shapes a round
Knowing there are seven matters less than knowing what seven kits do to the game. Every Forsaken round is one killer against four survivors on a four-minute clock. Survivors win by outlasting it and shorten it by completing generator puzzle layers — three seconds a layer, twelve for a finished generator, a full minute if all five fall. The killer extends the clock by eliminating survivors. Which of the seven you face changes how that tug of war plays out.
Three roles across seven killers
The core seven cluster into roles. John Doe (Trapper / Setplay), 1x1x1x1 (Ranged / Attrition) and c00lkidd (Versatile) trap, reveal and zone rather than out-run, and they are at their best interrupting a generator someone is two layers into, because puzzles regenerate when interrupted and that progress is simply gone. Nosferatu is the wiki's ambush, stealth and zoning killer and Slasher its ambusher and brute-force pick. Noli is the rushdown and deception specialist, and Guest 666 is the burst-and-snowball killer with the roster's highest listed health. A survivor who knows which of the three roles is in the lobby already knows what to protect.
What a killer cannot bring
None of the seven can be modified. Forsaken has no perks, no loadouts and no equippable items for killers, so a character's abilities are fixed and choosing a killer is choosing a complete playstyle. That is also why the count is meaningful: seven killers means seven distinct approaches to the same four-minute problem, not seven skins on one kit. It is worth saying plainly because guides written for other asymmetric horror games describe perk builds, pallets, hooks and exit gates — none of which exist here.
Where the collaboration killers fit
Collaboration and event killers are real and some are memorable, but they are not the answer to "how many killers are there" for a new player, because availability changes and a guide written around one may describe a killer you cannot currently pick. We cover the permanent roster in depth on the /forsaken-killers hub and in /blog/forsaken-all-killers-abilities-complete-list-2026; for a given collaboration killer, the wiki's own page for that character is the reliable source while it is live.
How to check the current roster yourself
Roster counts drift as collaborations arrive and leave, so it is worth knowing how to verify the number rather than trusting any page — including this one — indefinitely. Two sources settle it in under a minute, and they answer slightly different questions.
The in-game shop answers "what can I play right now"
Open the shop in the lobby and count the killer tiles. That is the live roster at this moment, including any collaboration killer currently available. It will not tell you which of those are permanent and which will leave when an event ends, but it is the only source that reflects today.
The wiki answers "what has ever existed"
The Official Forsaken Wiki's Killers category is the complete historical list: every killer that has ever been in the game, including retired collaboration characters and name variants. It is the right place to identify an unfamiliar killer you met once, and the wrong place to count the current roster, because it never removes entries.
Why the core seven is the number worth remembering
Neither source gives a single stable number, which is why this page commits to seven. The core seven have been present through every collaboration wave, they are the killers with full wiki stat blocks, and they are the ones a tier list can rank without the placement expiring when an event closes. Collaboration killers are real and worth learning while they are live; they are not a reason to memorise a bigger count.
Pro Tip
If a guide gives you a killer count, check whether it also lists the names. A page that says "12 killers" and then names seven has copied its headline from somewhere else. The names are harder to fake than the number, which is why this page leads with them.
Questions that usually follow
The same search tends to arrive with three companions. Short answers here; the linked pages go deeper.
How many survivors are in Forsaken?
The Official Forsaken Wiki's Survivors category lists fifteen entries, which like the killer category includes collaboration characters. Three survivors are free from the start — Noob, Shedletsky and Elliot — and the rest are bought with Player Points. Survivors are grouped into three classes: Survivalists who look after themselves, Sentinels who interfere with the killer directly, and a single Support, Elliot. The full roster is on /forsaken-survivors.
Which killers are free in Forsaken?
Two of the seven: c00lkidd and Slasher. Both are complete kits rather than trial versions, and because they are free they are the killers most lobbies see and most survivors have learned to read. Learning the role on one of them before spending 1,000 Player Points on John Doe or 1,100 on Noli is the sensible order.
Is the number of killers going up?
The core roster has been stable at seven while collaboration and event killers arrive and leave around it, and the 5.0.0 update added skins rather than new core killers. When a genuinely new permanent killer lands, it will appear on the /forsaken-killers hub and in our tier list at /forsaken-tier-list, which carries a dated changelog of every roster and balance change we have verified.
Final Thoughts
Forsaken has seven core killers — John Doe, 1x1x1x1, c00lkidd, Nosferatu, Noli, Slasher and Guest 666 — and that is the number to plan around. The wiki's 24 is a category count that includes collaboration killers and name variants; the 12 you may have seen in headlines, including two of ours until recently, is a stale figure that never matched the game. Two of the seven are free, all seven have fixed abilities with no perks or loadouts, and every one of them is playing the same four-minute clock against four survivors.
- • Seven core killers in normal rotation; collaboration and event killers rotate around them
- • Free starters: c00lkidd and Slasher — full kits, not trials
- • The wiki's 24 counts collab killers and variants; "12" is a stale headline number
- • Every killer has fixed abilities — no perks, loadouts, pallets, hooks or exit gates
- • One killer vs four survivors on a four-minute clock the killer extends by eliminating people
